Do you repair heat pumps you did not install?
Yes. We service whatever brand is already in your home, and we tell you plainly whether a repair is worth it on a system of that age.
Heat pumps run most of the year in Central Kentucky, heating in winter and cooling in summer. We repair, maintain, and install them across the region, including dual fuel setups that pair a heat pump with a gas furnace.

Leave the house first, then call the gas company, then call us. Nothing else on this page matters more than that.
Pick the one that sounds closest. It tells you whether this is tonight or this week.
The system is not producing. In freezing weather that is a call tonight, not tomorrow.
The same order, every call.
Every home, every visit, without being asked.
The whole system, not the easiest part to reach.
A heat pump can lean on its backup heat strips for weeks without anyone noticing, until the power bill arrives. We check that the heat pump is doing the work itself.
You hear what is wrong and what it costs. Nothing gets touched until you say go.
Same visit when the part is on the truck. If it has to be ordered, you hear that the same day.

Heat pump problems usually come down to a short list. They split by where the fault is.
Not sure whether you have a heat pump or dual fuel? Describe the equipment on the phone and we will know.
Call 859-324-2770Central Kentucky homes run both. A heat pump does the work on its own, while dual fuel hands the coldest days to a gas furnace. Knowing which you have changes what we check first.
Runs on refrigerant like an air conditioner in reverse and handles most Kentucky winters alone. When it struggles, it usually shows up as a house that never quite reaches temperature, or a power bill that jumps because the backup strips are doing the work.
A heat pump paired with a gas furnace. The heat pump covers the mild days and the furnace takes over when it gets truly cold, which can save on energy costs over time. We can upgrade a heat pump system to dual fuel.
Both get the same diagnostic and the same written price. Neither gets guessed at.
You know the fee before we come out and the repair price before we start.
Emergency calls are taken around the clock, six days a week, and dispatched as our crew allows. Call and we will tell you honestly when we can be there.

Long run times are normal in the coldest weeks. If it runs constantly in mild weather, or the house never reaches temperature, the usual causes are low refrigerant, a dirty coil or filter, a defrost fault, or a system sized wrong for the house. It takes a diagnostic to know which.
Not necessarily. Heat pumps deliver cooler air than a furnace and run defrost cycles in cold weather. If the house is not holding temperature, that is worth a call.
If you have dual fuel and smell gas, no. Leave the house and call the gas company first. If the outdoor unit is grinding, screeching, or smells like burning, shut it off. Otherwise, keeping the house comfortable until we get there is fine.
We can upgrade a heat pump system to dual fuel. We look at the existing equipment first, then give you a written price and an honest view of the savings, which are real but modest.
Twice a year, in spring and fall, because it both heats and cools. Our Hospitality Club and Magnolia Club memberships cover both visits, and members skip the $75 trip and diagnostic fee.
Call and tell us what the heat pump is doing. We will give you a straight answer about what it needs, and if it can wait we will tell you that too.
Every hour without heat costs you a few degrees.
